SolidWorks Drafter 

Located in downtown Buffalo, Perma Tech Inc. is seeking Drafting interns for the Summer of 2022!

Since being founded in 1984, Perma Tech, Inc. has established a reputation for designing and building custom, high quality loading dock solutions through the success of adopting the principles of lean manufacturing and workforce development. This, along with our R&D and other efforts, allows us to provide our customers with uniquely customized products, at unheard lead times, at a time when many competitors are attempting to limit themselves to more standardized products and procedures.

The Role

We are seeking two Drafting interns for the Summer of 2022 to help convert CorelCAD drawings to a SolidWorks format. This is a great opportunity for students to put their learned drafting knowledge into real world application, getting hands-on, real-world experience in SolidWorks as part of a growing an expanding manufacturing operation. Our manufacturing and assembly also take place onsite, so you will get to see live examples of how designs come to life in our manufacturing process.

Qualified candidates will have the following:

• Currently enrolled in a drafting or engineering program with some curriculum or experience already acquired in drafting (coursework or other). Candidates may be required to provide a portfolio or samples of previous drafting work, even if in an academic setting.
• Ability to work at least 3 days per week for the duration of the summer, starting by June 1^st, 2022. Schedules will be determined at the time of offer, and there is flexibility based on individual needs and desires.
